Delete your account from the app

You can delete your account yourself, in the app, without contacting anyone. It takes less than a minute.

In the LehgoRide rider app:

Open the app and go to Account.
Scroll to Delete Account.
Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

In the LehgoRide driver app:

Open the app and go to Settings.
Scroll to Delete Account.
Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

You have 30 days to change your mind

Your account stops working immediately. Nothing is erased for 30 days. Signing in with the same phone number and password during that time restores the account exactly as it was.

After 30 days the account is deleted and cannot be restored.

What is deleted

Your name, email address, profile photo and password.
Your phone number is released, so it can be used to register again.
Saved places, notification settings and sign-in sessions.
For drivers: date of birth, emergency contact, licence and identity numbers, bank and mobile money details, and the identity documents you uploaded — the files themselves, not just the links to them.

What is kept, and why

Deleting your account anonymises your records rather than erasing everything. Some information is not only yours:

Completed trips — a trip is the driver's record as much as the rider's, and is a safety record for both.
Payments and transactions — accounts have to balance.
Ratings and comments you left — they describe somebody else's conduct and form part of their safety record.
Messages you sent — to a driver or a rider in a trip chat, or to our support team — are kept, including their text, for training and improving LehgoRide. They are no longer linked to your name.

None of it stays linked to your name, email, photo or phone number.

When deletion is refused

The app will tell you, with the amount, if any of these apply:

You owe an unpaid balance.
You have money in your LehgoRide wallet — withdraw it first, so the platform does not keep money you earned.
You have a trip in progress.

If you no longer have the app

Write to hello@lehgoride.app from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number you registered with, and we will verify it is yours before deleting anything.

We deliberately do not put a "delete this account" form on this page. A form that accepts a phone number and acts on it could be used by anyone who knows your number.
